This past saturday I was Baptized by my husband.  What a great experience!  Here are some pictures of my special day.  My parents were there, Travis' parents were there my friends Moriah, Abby, Joleen and the Bishop his wife, the consoler and his wife, the president from relief society who spoke and gave me a card with a journal.  It was really great.

And Then......

Travis went to the grocery store and brought me home flowers.  =)  Purple ones.  What a great husband!  

SO ROMANTIC!!!

So.....tonight Travis and I decided to go running outside in the heat!  It was so hot and I was super dehydrated as the last thing I drank was diet dr. pepper.  

We were about finished up and Travis caught up to me (not because I was running fast but because he ran way ahead of me then all the way back).  We then started walking and  I said we really need to get this running into gear.  He said ya especially since we are running 6 miles in two weeks.  I said you are cause I haven't signed up yet.  He said we will sign you up and I am running with you.  I said you don't have to because I will slow you down.  Then he told me that he was running the half marathon with me.  I said no way dude I don't want to hold you back.  Travis then said no I want to run it with you that way we can run a half marathon together.  That really made me smile so I thought I would share this with everyone.  I hope this is my last post on this blog (hint Travis hint).  I hope all of you have had a great week.  And I hope you have a great weekend!

We have clear TV!!!

I will talk about our wedding however I am waiting for more pics to post.  Also I think Travis and I are going to have a joint blog so our wedding would be a perfect opening blog.  =)

So I didn't have cable in my apartment because I don't watch TV that much and the shows I do watch are on the regular stations so cable would be a waist of 80 bucks a month.  Not having cable was fine but the stations were always really fuzzy and we were always adjusting the antenna.  Well....Travis =) got a digital converter and hooked it up and all of our seven channels are clear!!!!  Thats right guys!!!!  This means in September we can watch the office in clear picture.  

Next weekend I am getting Baptized.  Travis is going to be the one Baptizing me and also doing my confirmation.  Travis' parents are coming in to town for this event as well as my parents and my friends.  

It was rough going back to work after our Utah trip.  I really wished we had scheduled more time to stay because we were really enjoying spending time with family and it was nice to be somewhere different.  My first official day back was Friday and it was horrible.  I have training the rest of this week so tomorrow I am going to go with a smile and take a few deep breaths.  I think my new position and everything that has been going on with the wedding and getting ready for my Baptism has been a roller coaster of events and emotions.  Not a bad thing but it can really cause one to loose focus.  My goal this week is to gain some stability back and incorporate my happiness with that so I can stay positive.  

I have not been running in one week!  Thats right a whole week.  I feel so lazy and am anxious to get back into our routine.  My official half marathon training starts tomorrow so I need to get with it!  We live on the third floor of our apartments so the past few days my body has been telling me get to running!!!  My legs are about to fall off haha.

I'M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!

Yes that is right I am engaged.  Travis really put a lot of thought and love into his proposal making it unforgettable and so romantic.  

I got home from working my sixty hour week and Travis had cleaned up my apartment and put flowers on the table.  He had Cheesecake Factory's Chicken Tostada Salad with the best spinach artichoke dip ever!!!!!  We ate dinner then talked on the couch and let our food settle before we dug into the Chocolate fudge Brownie with Vanilla ice cream.  He wouldn't let me go into my bedroom so I was curious the whole time.  The time then came when he let me go into my bedroom.  When I opened the door there was a red carpet laid out which ended at a standing floor mirror that I have wanted for a long time!  On either side of the red carpet were stands which held pictures and candles on the right and purple flowers and candles on the left.  He sat me down and had our three favorite songs playing.  The first picture was a picture of us and people from work before we ever really hung out or anything.  In fact at that time we didn't even really know each other that well.  He related that to one of our songs and told me what the picture meant with our songs.  He then went on to the next picture and each picture with what he said to me was like a timeline of our relationship.  I could recap our whole relationship and feel how strong of a connection we have always had as well as how happy we are.  

On the other side he had all the cards and poems I had written him as well as what he had given me.  

When I first told Travis I loved him I felt so strong about it I had a little trouble just coming out and saying it.  Because I was so nervous I wrote down how I felt and went through the pages and had him read it out loud.  Well....he had those papers that I wrote and had me read what I wrote to him.  He then made his own papers which he read to me and at the end he asked me to MARRY HIM!  Of course I said yes.  I was so happy and filled with so much emotion I am getting teary eyed right now.  Then....he bought two mirrors because he didn't know which color I wanted but anyways it was part of his plan hehe.  He put the mirrors together and told me to look into them and asked me what I saw.  I said well the mirrors keep going.  He said well this resembles us for eternity!  I was so moved and completely touched.  He then said we are unified in which he brings this box and it's a DIAMOND NECKLACE!!!!!  I could not believe it.  He wanted to surprise me with something!  The spinach artichoke dip was a surprise to me that evening I couldn't believe he did all this and then bought me a necklace!  Travis then put the ring on my finger.  The ring is absolutely stunning!  He recapped so much and made me feel so special.  I am so blessed and super excited for our future.  I prayed for my husband since I was fifteen and I believe that God gave him to me in the most extraordinary way.  I have always believed in prayer and now I am blessed with a spouse who will pray with me, go to church, raise a family with values and a healthy spiritual home.  I get to share my life with someone who is appreciative for everything he has, loving, spiritual, smart, and ridiculously good looking hehehe.  I am so excited.  

With all the excitement we decided that the best time for us to get married would be at his family reunion.  Soooo.....two weeks from tomorrow I am getting married!  Tomorrow I am going to look for a dress and then Travis and I are going to go to the movies =).  Well well.....Ohhhhh I almost forgot.  The Sunday after Travis proposed he spend all day making a book with pictures and everything he said to me.  We now will have a book which we can share with everyone so they can see just how incredible it was.

My last day of overtime!

When my boss offered me over time I gladly took it! I am working 60 hrs this week and as of this moment I am on my 56th hour. My mind and body is in over time too. I am ready to pass out and sleep for a day straight! I will remember that this week I really did earn my full pay or so I feel I did. When I get that pay check direct deposited in my account I will smile super big!
I have three more weeks until my second Utah trip! I am so excited!
That's all i've got. My brain is shutting down and I am about to get a sugar free red bull to keep my eyes open! Have a great weekened yawl!!! Yes I did say ya'll and I mispelled it on purpose.

I'm on a mission with the Missionaries hehehe =)

Sooo this week was my first two visits with the missionaries.  They want me to get Baptized this Sunday!!!!  I am choosing to wait till maybe next weekend or the one after that, that way my parents can come and I can invite everyone from work hehe.  It is going really well.  I am glad that I am already a pretty spiritual person and that Travis has been so kind to answer all of my questions.  Thanks to all of these things it seems that our meetings are more like a refresher course or bible study.  Not meaning to cheapen it because I really do enjoy it and feel like I can take a lot from it.  I will keep everyone posted on my Baptism date!

I start my Service Manager position July 1st!  Sorry I am just so excited!  My manager there will actually be the same manager who hired me on at Wells Fargo.  We work well together and I am eager and excited to see what is in store for our in store hahaha.  I am being a little dorky now so I will move to the next subject.

At the end of July I am going back to Utah for Travis' family reunion.  I am super excited about that for many reasons.  I get to meet the rest of his family, I get to play in a super fun Volleyball game (shout out to you Meg) and I get to see a pig in it's full form over a fire.  I have only seen that on TV so I am looking forward well not in a weird creepy like to see dead animals way but excited to experience that!

Continuing my new opportunity!

I hope to start my service manager position by July 1st.  I am absolutely thrilled!  When I wrote this I had not seen Travis yet.  Well.....he showed up at my door and he already knew!!!!  He showed with flowers, sugar free red bull, and this super cute card that plays music! I was like how did you know!?  It was a great evening to a great day and he also took me out to dinner for Mexican food.  It was a lot of fun.  Now we both have manager positions hehe.  I look up to Travis so I know that he will continue to add to my happiness in my new position as well as be a great guide in a manager role.  He exudes patience, leadership, positivity, and is a great listener.  Who could ask for a better mentor!!!  =)

Service Manager!!!

I got the position!  I am the new Service Manager at an in store!  What a great opportunity for me I am so excited.......will write more later!

UTAH!!!!!

I went to Utah this past weekend!  It was great.  I met Travis' family who were all so wonderful. We stayed at Lori's house (which is beautiful and is on the market so you should buy it); Lori and her family were awesome!  All of her kids are beautiful and so polite.  I had a lot of fun playing volleyball and tennis with them.  Lori also had a BBQ at her house with a lot of yummy food and fun socializing with family and friends.  Everyone was so nice! 

Travis and I got pedicures while we were there with Rod and Amy (who are also super sweet).  It was fun!  Travis got his toes painted silver eeekks.  We also visited other friends and their parents.  We played Wii and watched Rod and Amy's son's (David and Zack who are adorable) play around and eat lots of sugar!

 

I climbed a mountain!  Well kind of hehe.  We went to Zion's National Park and we hiked the most difficult one there called Angels Landing.  I think they call it that because it is so high!!!  I quickly realized just how afraid of heights I was but dealt well with it and was taken away by the beauty of the mountains which I have never seen before.

We spent the last day in Vegas which my parents and Travis' parents met up for lunch.  That evening we went to the wax museum, walked through the Venetian hotel and then went and had dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe'!!!  It was super delicious.  Oh and we watched the Lion walk around and sleep and then yawn a bunch at MGM Grand.  We then went for a walk and watched the water show at the Bellagio.  It was a great evening and ending to a great weekend!  

I go back to Utah in August and am super excited to meet the rest of Travis' family.  I will not be nervous this time hehe.  

Well it was back to work today and I must say I think I needed a vacation after my vacation.  I was super tired and just wasn't all there.  

Special thanks to you Lori for the granola cereal, for your hospitality and for you miss Meghan for giving up your room!  Bryan, Cameron, Brady, Jacob, and Luke it was great meeting you!  It was also great meeting you Mr. and Mrs. Phillips!  Thank you for driving to Vegas it was really fun. 

 

Sunday and Healthyfoodforthought

So....today Travis and I went to church.  We went to class afterwards and I am glad I went.  I was super tired feeling and my head hurt so I kind of tried to get out of it but then decided to stop being a baby and go.  He talked about a lesson that Travis and I already went over last week.  It was about the Atonement of Jesus Christ.  His suffering for our sins both spiritually and physically.  Anyways of course I already know about this topic as I was raised in the Catholic church but it was fun to have that confidence that I haven't felt in a while to speak up in class and blurt out what I thought was the answer.  It is just fun sharing that with other people.  The gentlemen doing the talk or leading the class stopped half way through so that I could set an appointment to talk with the missionaries.  It was a little awkward but I gave them my number and will probably start that next week.  I had been wanting to talk to them anyway, so now it's just that it is finally happening.  

I started a new blog!  I am super excited about my new blog as it is about healthy eating and healthy food thoughts.  I am totally obsessed with these topics and love talking about it.  Over the years I have attained some useful knowledge about eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and obesity.  I have always wondered when I have a family some day what are different things I can do to incorporate vegetables and other different foods that maybe I don't eat, so that they can have a full rounded diet and a positive outlook on food.  Also I want to establish healthy eating habits all the way around so that I can instill that in my children as well.   Now days it seems like life makes it to where it is easier to eat unhealthy.  It is cheaper to buy that greasy hamburger then a grilled chicken salad.  I am learning how to cook and plan to experiment with different ingredients that will be fun and healthy.  I already tried to make spaghetti squash spaghetti with Travis.  Lets just say it wasn't what I expected.  I have not let that discourage me though.   I am excited to try more things!  

Well that would have been a good blog for my other blog but oh well.  Thats all i've got.  Look under my cool blogger friends to see my new blog.  Eventually after I get more stuff on there I will have links that you can go to for additional information.  

Only three more days till I go to UTAH!!!!  I am super excited =).

Quick update

I had a really good weekend! Actually a really good four day weekend. I got a lot of sun, hung out with friends, ran my best three miles ever, (even if it was on the treadmill) and cooked a lot of fun foods. Ohhh and I watched two movies without getting up and walking around or doing something else. I watched "The Greatest Game" and "P.S. I Love You". I like both of them except I cried through the whole movie "P.S. I Love You". It was ridiculously sad. I am not usually a crier but that movie really got to me.

I have recently planted some plants and am super excited about their progress, that being they are still alive hehe. Also one of those plants is a pineapple! I can't wait for that. It will take about two years so I have a lot of watering and a long time to look forward to the full growth of that. I have an indoor plant which I took from work and it seems that it is poisonous for my cats. They have been chewing on the leaves like crazy and today I came home to Cami laying by two huge piles of vomit and Tito laying in the bathroom with severe diarrhea. I am getting rid of the plant.

I am leaving for Utah on Wednesday which I am excited about. I hear how beautiful it is and have seen lots of pictures of the mountains. I must say it is a different scene then Texas and low humidity, talk about a good hair day hehe.

Well that is all I have right now. I am really tired and I think it's because I am still getting back into work mode and the heels I wore to work yesterday gave me blisters eeeks! So I am going to take a nap. Tomorrow I must start running I have slacked off yesterday and today. I feel so much better after I run. Well I hope everyone has a great Friday and a great weekend!

Running

I have not written in a while! My running went pretty well this week. I am really excited and look forward to doing it everyday. Travis bought me a Nike Sports Band! I am super excited about that too. It came with a chip which I put in my shoe and then the band reads my time, calories burned, etc. This will be great motivation for me as for now I have decided I am working on pacing first then will worry about my time and pushing myself more. It's a fun accomplishment when you wake up in the morning knowing that the day before you have done something good for yourself.

Today I went to Church with Travis. We went to gospel class after wards then I went to relief society class. All the women were really nice and I had fun. We talked about the priesthood. What it means, how it's attained and why it's important. I was excited to participate in the group as Travis has already taught me a lot about it. I asked a ton of questions of course thats just because I want to make sure I fully understand everything but they were all very helpful and generous. I was very impressed with the way they took me in. I felt like I was already part of the church family. =)

Well I had a pretty good weekend and hopefully will write more on here. I hope everyone has a great week! =)

Proud of myself

Today was my day off.  It was beautiful weather today.  I am really proud of myself for running lately.  I signed up for a half marathon in November.  It will be really exciting to feel that accomplishment when I am finished.  Last week I ran three times really good.  I went running yesterday but got tired really fast.  I am running tomorrow and Thursday and I am working on trying to find a pace that works for me.  I want to improve my running however I am struggling with improving distance first or time first.  I am going to get on the Nike website and create a training plan for my half marathon.  

I am helping with the planning of a former co-worker's baby shower and it is stressing me out a bit as I am in charge of all the games.  I am good at entertaining people as I think I am a people person but the difference here is that there will be a language barrier and about 50-60 people there.  I have the usual games planned such as the clothes pin game, the diaper changing contest, we have word finds and stuff like that.  I am not sure that we will even have room for all these games but I guess I will have to see what happens.  It's May tenth so if anyone who reads this has any ideas I will gladly take them.  

This is a really long blog and not even about my day today.  Haha I feel that I had a productive day however didn't get much done.  I have been lazy about stuff lately.  Well tomorrow is Wednesday so we are all half way through the week!  Hope all of you have a great day tomorrow and a great weekend if I don't write anything else until then.

This weekend I went to a Round Rock Express baseball game. Travis threw the first pitch! I got a great picture of him haha he looked like a pro. The weather was beautiful! I love live baseball games.




On Sunday we went to Church in Temple. It's so exciting to hear about people's accomplishments, so when Travis shares with me things about his mission I get so excited. There are many things about him I look up to and I am so proud of him for having done that. What is even more exciting is he served his mission in my hometown! Church was fun this Sunday. I don't know if it's because I was excited about wearing new clothes or if it was just the warm feeling of all the families and little kids every where. There were a lot of sweet people and even a few people I recognized. That was exciting. I look forward to this Sunday. I grew up Catholic which is a very organized religion similar to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They are both very family oriented religions so it's easy to feel comfortable going to church. I have been learning about Mormonism and so far am enjoying it. I am constantly asking questions which I'm sure can get annoying but how do you learn if you don't ask? I don't drink coffee anymore and drink herbal teas. The herbal teas I already drank and I have come to realize that it's the Starbucks atmosphere that I enjoyed not necessarily the coffee hehe. Oh and they make herbal coffee! One of these days I'm gonna open a Mormon Herbal Coffee shop haha. Wow I just wrote alot.
After church Travis and I went to my parents house and we had dinner there and then went to their building that they are fixing up. It was a nice visit.
I have had a good week thus far and am looking forward to the weekend as I have Saturday off which means two day weekend! Woohoo!!! Well I hope everyone who reads this has a great week! =)

Fun day off

I had today off because I work on Saturday. I slept in...longer then I wanted eeks, then I cleaned the kitchen, organized some things and met some friends at this Sea Food place. After that I went tanning then went to the Mall. At the mall I got some more lip gloss which was much needed then I got a smoothie with pineapple and peaches. It was really sweet and tasted kind of funny. Then, I went to Wal-mart and picked up a few groceries. I looked around for a fruit basket but a metal one to hold my fruit on the counter so it looks pretty and could not find one. I was bummed so I finished up quick and left hehe. Then I got to bring all the groceries up three flights of stairs. That was fun!!! Actually it was, I have lived on my own for a long time so I make a game of how many bags I can get up at once. This is my first time to live on the third floor but, I made it in two trips. =) The sun was shining all day and the weather is beautiful. The temperature is about 76 degrees so it will be a perfect evening to go running. I have been lazy lately. I am ready to turn that around haha. I am not sure if its the computer or this blog page but I am trying to use apostrophes and it will not let me!!!!! Oh well that is all I have today. Have a great Tuesday night!

Pretty Sunday

Today was a beautiful day!  I got plenty of sleep =).  I went to church with Travis then we walked and watched a movie.  He cooked dinner and made chicken with cilantro, avocado, and salsa!  I am pretty much settled in to my new apartment and love it.  It has so many windows and is bright!  I can see the sun set every night perfectly from my balcony!!!! Well thats another so called blog hehehe.  Have a great Sunday evening!!
